Think of your slideshow like a picture frame. If you have a horizontal (“landscape”) frame, a vertical (“portrait”) picture isn’t going to fit correctly. And vice versa.
Our slideshow is actually designed to fill its entire space with each of your images. So, if you try to put a vertical image in a horizontal space, here’s what happens:
- the image’s center will ALWAYS be aligned with the center of the space
- the image will be stretched, if necessary, to fill the sides of the space
- the image’s top & bottom will be cut off
So, the simple rule is: if you have a horizontal slideshow, use horizontal pictures. For a vertical slideshow, use vertical pics. Uploading the perfect picture is simple! Learn how here.
